A slightly riper and more deeply pitched nose remains very fresh with its aromas of black pinot fruit, anise, violet and soft earth and humus whiffs. There is a bit more volume to the delicious and vibrant medium-bodied flavors that possess a caressing mid-palate texture along with a subtle salinity that adds a refreshing touch to the dusty, serious and moderately structured finale. Lovely stuff. *Outstanding*

Wafting from the glass with aromas of raspberries, sweet berry fruit, petals, spices and raw cocoa, the 2019 Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Les Gruenchers is medium-bodied, sapid and succulent, with a pretty core of fruit and chalky tannins that assert themselves with a touch of youthful asperity on the finish.

Fourrier owns 0.29ha in this premier cru at the entrance to the village and which was planted in 1928. The wine is powerful in 2019, with aromas of ripe blackberry and fresh mission figs, but also a lot of floral elegance. The old vine fruit give it concentration and length on the palate.
